In the framework of Work Package 1 we organized a training for Ukrainian Partners at the Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University in Uman.

The survey was conducted at the EU Partners: UDeusto, UCY, and AGH-UST. The report was prepared as the MoPED Project internal document.

The MoPED project aims at modernizing curricula for Pedagogical Schools of Ukraine by incorporating new courses of top-notch ICT teaching tools and inquiry methods. By answering the contemporary challenges and requirements, and supporting ambitious large-scale educational reforms in Ukraine, the project will impact the quality of pedagogical higher education and enhance digital and didactic competences of future school teachers.

Objectives:

  • 18 semester’s disciplines are planned to be developed, incorporated into UA pedagogical curricular and accredited at the institutional level;
  • Training of teaching staff of participating Pedagogical Faculties of Ukrainian Universities;
  • Established “Innovative Classroom” in each Ukrainian University as a 21st-Century learning space based on best European practices;
  • Effective cooperation between EU and Ukrainian pedagogic higher education sector, school teachers and their associations.

Ewa Beck-Krala

Is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Management at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. She has been teaching, conducting research, and consulting in human resources management for more than 15 years in Poland, and has produced more than 50 publications based on her research and experience. She has been awarded with the Fulbright Scholarship at the Institute of Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Business School at the Loyola University in US and the Tempus Scholarship at the Business School at the University of Teesside in UK.

Artur Cybulski

Designer and developer of interactive virtual environments. Since 2017 technician at the AGH University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Humanities. As a core gamer since childhood he actively awaits good old upcoming times of effective edutainment applications. Since 2010 he actively participates in game development community. Passionate and popularizer of educational applications of new technologies. He believes that acquiring expertise through fun greatly improves UX and overall quality of life and that [mastering profession] times ([joy of games teaching profession skills] plus ["repetition is the mother of study"]) equals [and so we live satisfied with our lives]. Therefore after several international projects in PC/console/mobile games and Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies he co-founded VRLab at Faculty of Humanities, AGH, he took part in “MoPED – Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education by Innovative Teaching Instruments”. He completed several certified courses - e.g. Principles of Game Design, Business of Games and Entrepreneurship (by Michigan State University), VR and 360 Video Production (by Google AR & VR). He programs mainly in C#, his development engine is Unity.

Agnieszka Chrząszcz

MA, deputy director of CeL. Graduated from Sociology and European studies (Jagiellonian University, Exeter University 2002), Online and Distance Education (Open University UK, 2008). Responsible for managing educational projects and international cooperation since 2004 (as a participant in 10 and the coordinator of further 3). Her main professional interests are course design and facilitation, eportfolio for the professional development and training, course evaluation and students support. She has published over 20 articles in national and international papers and proceeding. She is also a trainer and course facilitator.

Bartłomiej Gaweł

Studied Management Science at the AGH University of Science and Technology and received MSc and then PhD in Management Science. At present, he works at the Department of Applied Computer Science in AGH University, as associate professor. His research is concerned with data science. He conducted many courses which cover aspects of digital marketing and analytics such as “Management in e-business”, “Digital Sevices” or “Web Application Architecture”. He is also active in digital industry. In 2008 he has been one of co-founders of Ateneo, an inbound marketing company specializing in SEO, Social Media, PCC and Analytics. Now, he is managing director of Ateneo, and cooperates with small and top-levels Polish firms from constructing and clothing industry. For many years he has been an administrator of the Moodle platform at the Faculty of Management. He participated in numerous conferences on e-learning.

Katarzyna Gdowska

Graduated from Management Science (MSc) at the AGH University of Science and Technology and from Philosophy (MA) at the Jagiellonian University. Works as a researcher and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Management at the AGH-UST. Received PhD in Industrial Engineering. Expert in the field of Operations Research and Management Science. Specializes in scheduling and planning problems, including project planning and managing problems. Develops optimization models for resource planning, transport and logistics. Teaches classes on operations research, computer-aided tools for project planning and project management. Participated in numerous trainings on new teaching methods, life-long learning, open educational resources, and e-learning. Actively utilizes Internet tools and e-learning in teaching process. She has several years of experience in managing international projects such as Krakow Conference of Young Scientists (Chair of the Organizing Committee), International Conference on Industrial Logistics (Member of the Organizing Committee), Pro Futuro Science Association (Member of the Managing Board), International Seminar on Management and Innovation (Leader), Student Exchange Programme between AGH-UST and NUST “MISiS” in Moscow (Coordinator), Economic Forum Internship Programme (Coordinator) and GameHub University-Enterprises Cooperation in Game Industry in Ukraine (Coordinator).

Karolina Grodecka

E-learning specialist, majored in Information Science and Librarianship at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow (2007), from 2008 student of Online and Distance Education programme (Open University, UK). Participant in many international projects e.g iCamp (developing pedagogical model for effective cross-cultural online collaboration), MAPPED (ePortfolio for professional and personal development), eExcellence Next (Quality benchmarks) and EVE2EDU (pedagogical support for VET teachers in e-learning). Experienced in social media usage in educational context, course designing, facilitation and training adults. Coordinator of OPEN AGH initiative, specislist in OER, Member of Executive Committee in Coalition for Open Education (2013-2014).

Beata Tworzewska-Pozłutko

Learning Designer. Graduated in Human-Computer Interaction at the Jagiellonian University (2008) and post-graduate studies in International Project Management at AGH UST (2012). Worked in companies and universities as e-learning and instructional designer. Curricula and online programme developer, adults’ trainer and online facilitator, instructional designer and UX specialist. Coordinator of staff training and development. Interested in openness, methodology, blended learning approach and user experience of learning materials.

Katarzyna Klimkiewicz

Katarzyna Klimkiewicz is an assistant professor at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, she’s graduated in Management Science and in 2013 done her PhD on Corporate Social Responsibility and Employer Branding. She has experience in providing trainings and workshops on soft skills development, as presentation skills, teamwork and leadership, creative and critical thinking, especially in teaching entrepreneurship and social innovation. Actively uses Internet tools and e-learning in teaching process, especially in the field of social competency development. Explores digital tools as to improve the teaching and learning experience of students. For her efforts in supporting tutorial classes with innovative online solutions in 2016 was recognized with an award “AGH – Iskra”. Recently has published a paper on the role of online solutions and e-learning tools for development of social competences.
